HAVE YOU BEEN WINED?

Been missing wine nights with friends? In need of a little bit of self-care? Well, the Wined during Quarantine Facebook group has got you covered. Admins Stephanie O’Malley and Ashley Martin began the group just over a week ago, and since its launch, the group has gained over 16,500 members from all over the South Shore and beyond.
The premise is that upon joining the group, you will have access to a list of addresses and the favorite drink of others in the group who wish to be “wined.” You can search the group for people in your area, and drop off the gift at their door for a contactless kind gesture.
Though not a Marshfield exclusive, the group has certainly reached our town. Baskets encompass a wide range of talent and creativity. And beverages cover the continent with entries from Mascato to Captain and Coke. But as in anything great it’s all about the delivery.
The deliveries are sometimes reminiscent of mash ups where Kiki Challenge meets Ding Dong Door Dash, Unicorns and Dancing Unicorns. The Patron Saint seems to be a lady originally from Vineland New Jersey and living in Sweden. Her name is Ina Nicosia- Schelker. Check out her YouTube Channel.
The Group Admins have a brief list of rules on the page, including a strict no monetary transactions policy, but beyond that, the Wined during Quarantine group is a fun and easy way to give to a neighbor, and maybe even get some back!
The Wined during Quarantine group is a lighthearted, low-pressure way to give to each other during a markedly heavy time.
