adoption feature
FINN
Finn is an approximately 4 year old Springer Spaniel. Finn is available for adoption to the right person willing to continue working with him and provide him the structured environment he requires to thrive. It’s a lifetime commitment.
Serious and interested adopters will recognize that Finn will be a wonderful pet, but not one that can be babied or coddled. Finn is handsome, intelligent, eager to please and highly trainable. However, amenities like cuddling and sleeping in bed are not recommended with Finn because he has had issues with resource guarding, whether that resource is you, his person, or his kennel, etc. Finn also does not respond well to groups of people, so it is best that he be put in his crate or another place where he feels safe and secure.
Finn has made great strides and has turned reactive and insecure behavior into excellent obedience. He has never been happier than to have work and structure in his life. As Finn's adopter, you will need to continue his training and provide him structure.
Finn will do best in a home without children and other pets.
Your application will be reviewed and, if a good fit for you and Finn, interviews with Tracy Britt, his trainer, and with Marshfield Animal Control will be arranged.
