Food Pantry Gardening Project
Several weeks ago we were invited to sit in for a meeting with the Marshfield Food Pantry, the Marshfield Cultural Commission and the Marshfield Recreation Center. In the forefront of the conversation was the topic and desire of moving forward with a gardening program for kids in the community and residents where they could collectively participate and work towards growing food for our Marshfield Food Pantry!
Fast forward and the class agenda has been built by Master Gardener Cecilia Delgadillo. Beds for gardening have been sprouted and Children’s classes start this Saturday, June 4th 2022.
The Rec Center will also have growing beds available for rent to grow your own organic food! 20.00 for 1 bed, 2 for 30.00 for the whole season!
Join us! Plenty of fun and learning to do!
For over 35 years, The Marshfield Food Pantry has been providing food to our neighbors and partnering with other local organizations to reduce the risk of hunger in our community. Our sole mission is to provide a resource for families struggling to make ends meet.
Visiting the Marshfield Food Pantry
Conveniently located in Library Plaza, visiting the Marshfield Food Pantry is like stopping by your local grocer. At your first visit, we ask for basic information about you and your family. This helps us to keep count of families to ensure adequate quantities of food are available. You will never be asked about financial situation or why you are visiting the food pantry.
