We stopped by the Marshfield Farmer’s Market on Saturday and had the pleasure of meeting with and speaking to Susanne Bottiggi. If you find yourself at the Farmer’s Market please stop by her stand. She is a sincere, humble and kind person with just a great vibe and a wonderful mission.

Rivah Designs is a nonprofit that was launched in July at the Marshfield Farmer’s Market. Rivah Design’s Mission is to raise money for organizations who support people in our local communities struggling with mental health issues and substance abuse. While customers browse, shop, and/or donate they can take the brochures and learn about the available support that they otherwise may not have been aware of.

While we were chatting, a customer at the market picked up a card and said, “I know someone who can use this information.”

Susanne Bottiggi, a retired RN of 41 years, is Rivah Design’s founder. She has 18 years of ER experience and has seen both professionally and personally how mental health conditions and substance abuse impacts people’s lives. When faced with a crisis it can be difficult to know where to turn.

At the July launch Susanne raised $500 for Learn2Cope, a peer led support network for families dealing with addiction and recovery. Specifically, children who have lost a parent to addiction will receive the money.
