WE ASKED AMANDA WHY THIS EVENT WAS SO IMPORTANT TO HER.
Amanda mentioned that many of her own memories as a child have faded.
“I have one photo of my mother holding me as a child. My own memories have faded. Did we do things together? Did we play games? Laugh? What did she look like when I was growing up? What about my grandparents? Did they smile when we visited?”
Bella, Amanda’s 10 year old daughter recently asked her mother, "Why do you have to document everything?"
“Because I want you to know how much I enjoyed being with you when you grew up.”
